Staff can export their library's entire book catalog as a CSV file from the Export Books page. The export runs in the background โ€” check back on the page to see when it's ready.

Start an export

  1. Go to Tools and click the Export Books card, or navigate directly to Export Books.
  2. Under Export All Books, click Export All. There are no fields to fill in.
  3. You'll see a banner confirming "Export job added to queue." and land back on the same page.

If an export is already running for your library, the Export All button is disabled and trying to submit shows the error "An export is already in progress for your library. Please wait for it to finish." Only one export can run per library at a time.

Check status and download

The Recent Exports table on the same page lists your library's last 20 export jobs, newest first, with columns Requested, Status, Books, Completed At, and Download. Status moves from Pending to Processing to Completed โ€” refresh the page to see updates. If nothing has been exported yet, the table shows "No export jobs yet."

Once a job shows Completed, click Download CSV in that row. The link expires after 15 minutes; if it's expired, click Download CSV again for a fresh one.

A Failed job has no download available. The system retries automatically up to two times before giving up.

What's in the export

One row per book, with columns: Library, Title, Isbn, Authors, Categories, Tags, Publisher, DatePublished, Pages, MinAge, MaxAge, TotalCopies, AvailableCopies. Authors, Categories, and Tags are semicolon-separated when a book has more than one. AvailableCopies counts copies currently marked available.

Things to know

  • Export All exports only your own library's catalog, not every library in the system.
  • No filters โ€” no date range, category, or format options. It's always the full current-library catalog.
  • Export jobs and their CSV files are deleted after 30 days, so download anything you need to keep before then.
  • An audit log entry is recorded automatically when an export completes.
